Ollie Nollie
Objective: Bastard, a Milan-based company that produces and sells higher priced skateboards, snowboards, and related apparel, needs to expand its customer base to include younger customers.
Outcome: Created and developed a company mascot, Ollie Nollie, named after skateboarding tricks, to help spread brand awareness to a younger clientele
Ollie Nollie’s background, profile, and shape stem from the numerous Italian Onion Festivals, and the body is fashioned as a designer toy, similar to the Japanese characters Domo-kun and Hello Kitty
Ollie Nollie, a lazy, Italian onion, likes skateboarding, and as the company mascot will join the Lazy Riders team, a group of professional skateboarders and snowboarders sponsored by Bastard
Because Ollie Nollie is so versatile, Bastard Company can sell a variety of products, from key chains to beanbags
Ollie Nollie will have an online presence and feel like an actual person that can interact with customers
Ollie will be introduced to the public to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company
